Managing Shipment Delays During China’s 2026 Export License Policy Transition

November 25, 2025
Latest company case about Managing Shipment Delays During China’s 2026 Export License Policy Transition

Project: Proactive Supply Chain Management Before New Export Requirements

Background

In late 2025, we received updates regarding China’s new export license requirements, which would officially take effect on January 1st, 2026.

Although the new policy had not yet officially entered into force, some logistics partners and freight forwarders began adjusting their shipment arrangements in advance due to concerns about the transition period.

Customer Challenge

During December 2025, some freight forwarders temporarily suspended the transportation arrangements for certain export shipments.

The main concerns were:

  • Whether shipments departing in December could complete customs declaration and export procedures before the new requirements took effect
  • Whether unfinished export procedures could create additional compliance risks
  • Whether shipment delays might affect customers’ project schedules

As a result, some cargo originally planned for shipment in December had to be postponed until January 2026.

Our Response

After understanding the situation, we immediately communicated with:

  • Freight forwarding companies
  • Logistics partners
  • Export service teams
  • Relevant departments

We actively followed the latest requirements and evaluated each shipment schedule to determine the most suitable arrangement.

At the same time, we maintained close communication with customers and updated them on the situation to help them make better purchasing and production plans.

Result

Although the temporary adjustment affected some shipment schedules, our proactive communication and early preparation helped reduce uncertainty during the policy transition period.

All related orders were continuously tracked, and we worked closely with logistics partners to arrange shipments as soon as the new procedures became available.

Our Commitment

We understand that delivery time is critical for international customers.

During periods of regulatory changes, we will continue monitoring policy updates, communicating with relevant parties, and making every effort to ensure customer orders are processed smoothly without unnecessary delays.
