Cold rolled/Hot rolled 304F 304 304L stainless steel sheet plate
Product Description
300 series stainless steel is a kind of alloy material containing iron, carbon, nickel and chromium, a kind of non-magnetic stainless steel material, and has better forgeability than 400 series stainless steel. In many environments, it has strong anti-corrosion properties, it has good anti-corrosion properties caused by metal stress, and its material characteristics are not affected by heat treatment.

Application of 304 304F and 304L stainless steel
304 stainless steel has excellent cold and hot processing and forming properties. It is easy to be used to process and produce various stainless steel profiles such as stainless steel plates, stainless steel tubes, stainless steel wires, and stainless steel strips. It is also suitable for making cold heading, deep drawing, and deep drawing forming parts. However, the welding performance of 304 stainless steel is relatively common, and general welding methods can be used for processing and welding, and no heat treatment is required before and after welding. However, the performance of 304 stainless steel also has shortcomings. For example, large cross-sectional steel parts are sensitive to intergranular corrosion after welding, and are very sensitive to stress corrosion in humid air. The mechanical strength of stainless steel is low, and the processing and cutting performance is weak.
The F of 304F refers to the sulfur content, which is nearly 1 times higher than that of 304 stainless steel, and it is estimated to be about 0.1. It has better processing performance, but the rust resistance of this steel is slightly worse than that of 304 stainless steel.
304L is a variant of 304 stainless steel. This steel has a low carbon content and is mainly used in occasions that require welding. Due to the low carbon content, carbide precipitation is minimized in the heat-affected zone near the weld, since carbide precipitation may cause intergranular corrosion (weld attack) of stainless steel in some environments.
